volunteer Opportunities

We have a long list of ways people can become involved in the life of the church, and this includes both inside and outside of our physical walls. We have a Gifts Discernment Team that can assist in helping you get connected in ways that you may desire to serve. We desire that everyone has a place in which they feel God using them for His purposes here on earth as it is in heaven.

Serving others

You know that those who are regarded as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them.  Not so with you.  Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all.  For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." (NIV) - Mark 10:42-45

For followers of Jesus, service is more than a weekend project; it is a way of life.  At Metamora Mennonite Church, we strive to create a culture of service that nurtures a lifestyle of service in, through and beyond the church.

We are currently involved in serving the community and world through the Weekend Snackpac Project, Open Arms Food Pantry, Eureka Et Cetera Shop, and The Store Next Door (MCC Thrift Shop), Partnership Colombia, Mennonite Central Committee, Mennonite Disaster Service and more...

Within the community, there are various ways to serve.  When we get to know you and you get to know us, we can explore together how God might be calling you to serve others in the church.

If you are interested in getting involved, please email pastor Eric at eric@metmenno.org.
