Our Story
A church is much more than a place you go to consume religious experiences, it is a place where you go to connect with God and with others in community.
That's what Metamora Mennonite Church is...a community. But we're not just any community; we are a community committed to following Jesus together.
For over 180 years, Metamora Mennonite Church has been anchored in the Metamora community (before it was even called Metamora). Through worship, discipleship, care and service, the people of Metamora Mennonite continue to grow as followers of Jesus who love God and love their neighbors in tangible ways.
That has moved us in many different directions through the years. Today, we are on the front lines of serving others across the street, through the Open Arms Food Pantry, around the world, through Partnership Colombia, and everywhere in between. All of this is rooted in God-honoring worship, Bible based teaching, and close relationships of mutual care.
