A BIG thank you to the Families and Children who participated in VBS 2025 and to the volunteers who “poured their hearts” into making this year such a Spirit-filled time. 27 students and 22 volunteers made it possible for children to “cycle” through water-themed Bible, Active & Craft activities. All learned ways in which God loves God’s good creation by watching over it all and how Jesus is the Living Water.

Let waves of wonder wash over you as you get out into God’s creation at Vacation Bible School! Be inspired by the beauty and majesty of what God has made. Children will explore scriptures in which God provides water for plants and animals. They will visit the wilderness and miraculously receive water from a rock. They will take a boat ride with Jesus, weather a wavy storm, and even imagine a new heaven and a new earth where all are invited to receive life-giving water. Through worship and drama, Bible study, art and science explorations, and active games, will deepen their understanding of the importance of water and be invited to join God in caring for this precious natural resource.

VBs — a community Ministry

Each summer, MMC co-hosts Vacation Bible School (VBS) with Roanoke Mennonite Church. At VBS, children learn about Jesus through fun activities, music and singing, drama, Bible story time, Bible memory, crafts, games, and snacks. Bible stories come to life and lead children deeply into Scripture focused on God’s care and compassion for everyone around the world.

Children ages 4 through grade 5 are welcome to this time of worship, learning, friends, and fun!
