During the month of January, groups from Metamora Mennonite Church are assisting with worship services at nearby Maple Lawn Homes.  Maple Lawn Homes is non-profit, Christian retirement community in Eureka, IL.   Metamora Mennonite Church was a partner, along with other area Mennonite congregations, in starting Maple Lawn Homes which continues to provide vital ministries to people in this area.

Each Sunday morning they have a worship service for the residents there.  In order to do this, they need volunteers from local churches.  This is one of the ways we continue to support MLH.  On a Sunday morning, we assist with everything from helping residents get to the worship space, to scripture reading, song leading and special music.  It’s a very rewarding time of worship.  If you would like to participate in the remaining Sundays of January, please contact the church office [phone: 309.367.4892  or email]
